The Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan is continuously working to expand the country’s flight network and increase frequencies on existing routes.
Air Astana will launch regular flights on two new routes to Oman. The Almaty–Salalah service will commence on October 23, with one flight per week operating on Fridays, followed by the Astana–Salalah service on October 24, with one flight per week operating on Saturdays. Both routes will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.
Currently, SalamAir operates flights to Oman on the Almaty–Muscat route.
The launch of the new routes is expected to further strengthen trade, economic, business and tourism ties between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Sultanate of Oman.
