The 30th anniversary of the Academy of Civil Aviation is a significant milestone for Kazakhstan’s entire aviation industry. Over three decades, the Academy has evolved from a small educational institution into a leading national center for civil aviation education and research, shaping professional standards and setting the direction for the industry’s future development.
The anniversary event was attended by representatives of the aviation and scientific communities, the Academy’s partners, airline executives, alumni, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Ministry of Transport.
Nicolas Rallo, ICAO EUR/NAT Regional Director, sent a congratulatory message in which he emphasized the Academy’s importance as a hub for training future aviation professionals, highlighting its commitment to high standards and its contribution to the global advancement of civil aviation.
Over the years, the Academy has trained thousands of specialists, including pilots, aviation engineers, air traffic controllers, flight safety experts, and managers. Today, its graduates work across all key segments of Kazakhstan’s civil aviation sector and abroad, ensuring passenger safety, reliable air connectivity, and the technological progress of the industry.
Since its establishment, the Academy has undergone large-scale modernization, introduced training programs aligned with International Civil Aviation Organization and EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency standards, and become one of the country’s key centers for scientific development, digitalization, and innovation in the aviation field.
On behalf of the Minister of Transport, Saltanat Tompiyeva, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee (CAA) - Kazakhstan, presented letters of commendation, letters of appreciation, and “Qurmetty aviator” badges to distinguished representatives of the industry who have made a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s civil aviation.
A special highlight of the event was the presentation of the book “30 Years of the Civil Aviation Academy”, which captures the Academy’s historical milestones, achievements, the contributions of its faculty, and the success stories of its alumni.
The anniversary celebrations also featured the international symposium ISATECH’25, which brought together researchers and experts from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Vietnam, China, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, the United States, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.
The thirtieth anniversary marks the beginning of a new chapter in the Academy’s development one that includes the introduction of innovative training technologies, the strengthening of international partnerships, and the advancement of scientific research, all aimed at shaping a new generation of highly qualified professionals for Kazakhstan’s civil aviation sector.
