AAK Chief Executive Officer Michael Daniel Delivers Lecture at the Academy of Civil Aviation

A meeting with Michael Daniel, Chief Executive Officer of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK), was held at the Academy of Civil Aviation. The event brought together the Academy's faculty members, staff, students, and international experts.

Opening the meeting, Daulet Mamekov, Rector of the Academy of Civil Aviation, stated: "As the country's leading specialized aviation university, the Academy of Civil Aviation fully supports Kazakhstan's national priorities for the development of the aviation sector. Our key mission is to prepare highly competitive professionals in accordance with both national and international standards."

During his lecture, Michael Daniel shared his perspective on the future of global civil aviation, highlighting the technological and professional transformations that are already shaping the industry. He emphasized the importance of STEM education, engineering thinking, digital technologies, innovation, and a culture of continuous professional development.

"Fundamental knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics forms the foundation of every aviation professional's career. However, it is talent, imagination, and the ability to develop innovative solutions that drive aviation forward. Today, you are not simply preparing for a profession – you are the generation that will shape the future of global aviation.", said Michael Daniel.

Professor Abraham Althonayan, International Expert Advisor presented the future development of the MBA programme designed to prepare the next generation of aviation industry leaders. John Wainwright, Head of the Engineering Maintenance Centre, spoke about modern approaches to training aviation maintenance personnel in line with international requirements, emphasizing the importance of practical training and the development of engineering competencies.

During an open discussion, faculty members and students exchanged views with the CEO of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan on global aviation trends, evolving professional competencies, the implementation of emerging technologies, flight safety, and the future development of aviation education.

At the conclusion of the visit, Michael Daniel was introduced to the Academy's academic programmes, state-of-the-art training facilities, research initiatives, and strategic development priorities.
