A bilateral working meeting between representatives of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan and the Federal Authority for Transport Oversight of the Russian Federation (Rostransnadzor) was held on the sidelines of ICAO Aviation Security Week 2026.
During the meeting, the parties discussed further strengthening cooperation in aviation security, enhancing state oversight, and exchanging expertise on the implementation of international ICAO standards.
Representatives of Rostransnadzor highlighted Kazakhstan’s significance as a rapidly growing aviation and logistics hub, expressing readiness for further exchange of experience and the development of practical cooperation.
Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation, improving information-sharing mechanisms, and developing joint approaches to ensuring aviation security.
Additionally, the Russian delegation invited their Kazakhstani counterparts to participate in an international transport forum scheduled to take place in Saint Petersburg in 2027.
