The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) is moving ahead with its preparations for the upcoming FAA IASA audit, with a senior delegation led by Chief Executive Officer Michael Daniel visiting Air Astana's flight simulator and training centre on 13 August 2026.
The visit reflected the close and constructive cooperation between the regulator and the national carrier as Kazakhstan advances toward direct air services to the United States.
During the meeting, the AAK team shared an overview of the FAA IASA audit and outlined how the country-level assessment also encompasses Air Astana's flight operations, training and compliance systems.
Both sides exchanged views, discussed technical matters and reaffirmed their shared commitment to the highest standards of aviation safety. The engagement highlighted the strong partnership and coordinated readiness that continue to define Kazakhstan's path toward this milestone.
