Seven years of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev’s presidency have marked a period of profound and consistent transformation of Kazakhstan’s socio-economic and political development model. These years have unfolded amid a challenging global context — the pandemic, a slowdown in the world economy, inflationary and logistical shocks, geopolitical turbulence, as well as the need to address internal economic and political imbalances accumulated over previous decades.

Despite these objective difficulties, the President has succeeded in maintaining stability and steering the country onto a path of steady growth.

The response to numerous challenges has been the implementation of deep and comprehensive reforms aimed at ensuring the long-term sustainability of the state. President Tokayev is not driven by populism and does not pursue short-term gains. Instead, he pragmatically focuses on building a solid foundation for the country’s development, one that ensures rising living standards, as well as economic and political stability.

The results are evident.

In 2025, global economic growth reached 3.3%, while Kazakhstan’s GDP expanded by 6.5%.
