13/11/2025

The 4th High-Level Regional Dialogue for Asian Countries was held in Tashkent, organized by the International Transport Forum (ITF) of the OECD and the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

During the event, Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastaev delivered a presentation at the Ministerial Round Table dedicated to investment and the development of transport infrastructure.

The high-level meeting was attended by senior officials from the transport authorities of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Türkiye, as well as the Secretary-General of the ITF and representatives of other international organizations.
During the round table, participants proposed the launch of the “Open Eurasia” initiative, which aims to facilitate the sharing of open information on transport projects and to create a joint chat or digital platform for information exchange.

The ITF, in turn, continues to pay close attention to Central Asia, particularly through the development of the SIPA Programme. On July 25, 2025, the final version of the SIPA Programme was published on the ITF website.

Throughout the Dialogue, all participants emphasized the strategic importance of strengthening regional cooperation and launching new initiatives to enhance the transport potential of Central Asia.
