The 45th Meeting of the CIS Coordinating Transport Conference Held in Tashkent

On November 12, 2025, Tashkent hosted the 45th Meeting of the Coordinating Transport Conference of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The event, marking its 45th edition, brought together representatives of the transport authorities of CIS countries and the CIS Executive Committee, including Chairman of the CIS Coordinating Transport Conference Gennady Bessonov.

Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastaev, heading the Kazakh delegation, emphasized the strategic importance of adopting the Concept for Linking Major Transport Arteries across the territories of the CIS member states. This document will promote the expansion and synergy of transport corridors through the effective use of the advantages offered by all modes of transport.

In addition, the head of the Kazakh delegation outlined the measures being taken to develop rail transport, terminal infrastructure, the aviation sector, maritime infrastructure, as well as the construction and reconstruction of highways.

In conclusion, the Vice Minister called on CIS partners to actively develop transport routes, a proposal that received full support from the other representatives of the CIS transport authorities.
