In 2025, the development of Kazakhstan’s civil aviation was marked by fleet renewal and the active expansion of its route network. The national fleet reached 109 aircraft, including new Airbus A320s and Boeing 737 MAX 8s.
Kazakhstan restored and launched air services to 30 countries across 135 international routes, operating 626 flights per week. During 2025, restoration works began at Arkalyk Airport; development plans for Almaty Airport were presented; and an investment agreement was signed for the construction of an airport in the Khorgos – Eastern Gate Special Economic Zone.
According to the results of an ICAO audit, Kazakhstan’s compliance with international aviation safety standards reached 95.7%.
