Peter Griffiths on UN investigation into illegal arms shipments to Libya: "Kazakhstan is the affected party"

After it became known about the illegal supply of weapons to Libya using aircraft registered in Kazakhstan, the country's aviation administration thought about amendments to the sectoral legislation.
The current regulations allow international airlines to register their aircraft in the republic without flying from its territory. That is why a number of foreign operators took advantage of the loophole, said the head of the aviation administration of Kazakhstan, Peter Griffiths. According to him, the country is assisting the UN investigation in every possible way, ATAMEKEN BUSINESS reports.
