On the eve of Labor Day, when calls are especially often made to protect and respect working professions, to instill in children an awareness of the importance of work from an early age, one of the representatives of the outgoing generation, a real aviator, who made a great contribution to strengthening the aviation industry, creating a galaxy of pilots of civil aviation in Kazakhstan, is remembered.

Ermek Sansyzbaevich Abdramanov is a pilot of the 1st class, academician of the Academy of International Transport, Professor of the Academy of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. He was not just a pilot, Ermek Sansyzbaevich became a symbol of the era in civil aviation in Kazakhstan. His contribution to the development of the industry, his dedication to the profession and an example for new generations have made his name a true legend in aviation.

Ermek Abdramanov is a prominent representative of civil aviation in Kazakhstan, whose career and achievements serve as an example of selfless service to aviation. Yermek Sansyzbaevich has completed a 36-year professional flight from the co-pilot of a small aircraft to senior positions in the largest aviation structures in Kazakhstan.

His career in aviation began in 1958, when Ermek Sansyzbaevich graduated from the evening school of working youth in the city of Issyk and entered the Buguruslan Flight School of the Civil Air Fleet (GVF). Three years later, in 1961, he completed his studies and began his flying career as a co-pilot of the An-2 aircraft. In those years, Kazakhstan's civil aviation was on the rise, and Abdramanov was among those who actively participated in its development.

The first significant success in his career was his appointment as commander of the An-2 aircraft in 1965. This period was marked for him not only by professional growth, but also by increased responsibility — two years later he became a flight commander and temporarily served as deputy squadron commander. But his ambitions did not stop there: in 1969, Yermek Sansyzbaevich mastered a new An-24 aircraft for himself, which allowed him to expand the horizons of his flight activities.

One of the key milestones in Abdramanov's career was his studies at the Academy of Civil Aviation, which he successfully completed in 1974. Having gained new knowledge and competencies, he became an inspector pilot of the Flight Navigation Department of the Civil Aviation Committee (KUGA). Already in 1977, thanks to his professionalism, he was appointed co-pilot on the Il-62 in the Almaty aviation squadron. And just a year later, he was entrusted with the management of this aircraft — he became the commander of the IL-62.

The next stage in his flying career was the development of the Il-86 airbus. In 1984, Yermek Sansyzbaevich became the commander of this aircraft, the first Kazakh pilot to master flights on the Il—86 aircraft, one of the largest and most difficult to control at that time. His skill and dedication have allowed him to successfully perform international flights covering Europe, Africa, China, Turkey and Korea.

By 1992, Abdramanov was not only masterfully flying aircraft, but also held senior positions. He headed the flight detachment of the Almaty United Aviation Detachment, and a year later he moved to the position of deputy head of the department for the organization of flight work in KUGA. Soon he was appointed vice-president of the airline "Kazakhstan auye Zholy", which testified to his high professional level and respect among colleagues.

Throughout his long career, Ermek Sansyzbaevich actively participated not only in flights, but also in organizational and educational activities. In 1997, he became the Chief inspector of the State Aviation Supervision Department of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he monitored compliance with flight safety standards. Then his career led him to the Academy of Civil Aviation, where he was appointed head of the Flight Safety Inspectorate, and in 2000 — Vice-rector for flight methodological and educational work. In this position, he was engaged in training new personnel for the aviation industry, passing on his rich experience to the younger generation of pilots. Since 2006, he has headed the flight training complex of the Academy, contributing to the improvement of the practical skills of future pilots.

Subsequently, Yermek Sansyzbaevich's career continued at Euro-Asia Air. Abdramanov's total flight time was more than 20,000 hours, which in itself is an outstanding achievement in aviation.

From the memoirs of Yermek Abdramanov's colleague, Honorary aviator of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honored Pilot of the USSR Schmidt Sabirov: "As a pilot, he is a brave, competent, exceptional man, for whom aviation has become a life's work. He grew up, as they say, from the bottom. He was one of the heads of the national airline "Kazakhstan auye Zholy". As the vice-rector of the GA Academy, he made a significant contribution to the education of national personnel. In short, this is a professional – what to look for! In any work, he is always distinguished by clarity, accuracy, and high professionalism."

For 36 years of dedicated service to civil aviation and outstanding achievements in the academic field, he was awarded many government awards, including the Orders of "Kazakhstan Danki" and "For the development of virgin and fallow lands", as well as the signs "Enbek sinirgen aviation kazmetkeri" and "Kurmetti Aviator".

Ermek Abdramanov passed away in May 2024. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends, like-minded people, colleagues and numerous students.
