Zhanat Abdugalimov previously served as Managing director for Flight Safety, Strategy, Standardization and Harmonization . He also held the position of Director of the Department for the Issuance of Aviation Personnel Licenses, as well as Senior Aviation Inspector in the Department for Quality Control and Analytical Work in Flight Safety at JSC “Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.” 

In 2010, he graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Transport from S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University. He is a recipient of the international “Bolashak” scholarship. In 2015, he completed his master’s degree with distinction in International Transport at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom.

Starting in April 2011, he worked as an expert, senior expert, and senior state aviation inspector for dangerous goods in the divisions of the Civil Aviation Committee. As a National Coordinator, he was responsible for interaction with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) within the framework of the ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme. Before joining JSC “Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan,” he served as Head of the Department for the Implementation of State Policy in Civil Aviation of the Civil Aviation Committee.
