Vladimir Koshmanov
Director of the unmanned aviation systems department – chief aviation inspector
Vladimir Koshmanov has been working in the aviation industry since 2004, after graduating from Rudloe College Almaty with a specialization in Air Traffic Services. Beginning in 2011, he worked on the implementation of the Safety Management System (SMS) for the air navigation service provider of Kazakhstan, the RSE “Kazaeronavigatsia,” and was responsible for conducting internal flight safety audits and organizing risk assessments.
In January 2020, he joined the team of JSC “Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan” as a Senior inspector for air traffic control services of the Department of Air Navigation.
With the need to establish state regulation in the field of unmanned aviation, starting in 2021 he headed the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Group, which was responsible for developing and implementing the Rules for the Operation of Unmanned Aircraft in the airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
