International Civil Aviation Organization
International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations established to govern and administer the Chicago Convention. The main goal of ICAO - sustainable growth of the global civil aviation system, and also promoting the safe and stable development of civil aviation throughout the world based on Standards and Recommended Practices (SARP) and policies on aviation security, efficiency, regularity of air travel, economic sustainability and environmental responsibility. In 1992, by the Decree of the Supreme Council, Kazakhstan signed the Convention on International Civil Aviation. According to Article 37, Kazakhstan undertakes to cooperate in ensuring the highest achievable degree.
The European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC)
European Civil Aviation Conference – an intergovernmental organization seeking to harmonize civil aviation policies and practices among its member states and, at the same time, promote mutual understanding on policy issues between member states and other parts of the world.
The mission of ECAC is to contribute to the further development of a safe, efficient and sustainable European air transport system.
ECAC's many years of aviation experience, pan-European membership and close relationship with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) make it a unique European forum for discussing all major civil aviation issues.
In January 2021, CAC and AAK signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC). As part of the memorandum, Kazakhstan received observer status in the European Civil Aviation Conference and became the third CIS country admitted to the ECAS. Cooperation covers issues of flight safety, accident investigation, aviation security, environment and other areas of international civil aviation.
International Air Transport Association
The International Air Transport Association is an intergovernmental organization that acts as a coordinator and representative of the interests of the air transport industry in such areas as flight safety, flight operations, tariff policy, maintenance, aviation safety, development of international standards together with ICAO, etc
. IATA represents about 290 airlines in 120 countries, including airlines of Kazakhstan. IATA members account for 83% of global air traffic, and IATA members include the world's leading passenger and cargo airlines.
European Aviation Safety Agency
EASA is the European Union (EU) agency for the regulation and execution of civil aviation safety tasks.
EASA's area of responsibility includes safety analysis and research, authorization of foreign airlines, advice in the development of European aviation legislation, implementation and monitoring of safety regulations, issuance of type certificates for aircraft and components, and authorization functions for organizations involved in the development, production and maintenance of aviation products.
Kazakhstan airlines fly to European Union countries, and in this regard, there is a certain cooperation of Kazakhstan with EASA.
