By the Decree of the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Saltanat Tompiyeva was appointed to the post of Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Before her appointment, she held the position of Deputy General Director of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC.
S.Tompiyeva was born in 1977 in Karaganda city. She graduated from Karaganda State University named after E.A. Buketov with a degree in International Economic Relations and, a Master of Business Administration in Aerospace Management of Toulouse Business School (France).
Saltanat Tompiyeva has been awarded the IATA Diploma with distinction Civil Aviation Management.
Saltanat Tompiyeva started her career in civil aviation in 1998 as a leading specialist in the sector of aviation security of the Committee of Civil Aviation. In the period from 1999 to 2008, she worked as a senior specialist in the Department of Strategic Planning, the Department of the Formation of the Aviation Services Market, the Department of Regulation of Airports, administrative and legal work and international relations.
From 2008 to 2012 she was the Chief Expert of the Airspace Operation Directorate, International Standards Implementation Directorate, and International Relations Directorate.
From 2012 to 2019, she served as Head of the Office of International Relations and Aviation and Chief State Aviation Inspector of Aviation.
From 2019 to November 2022, she served as Deputy Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee, supervising domestic and international air transportation, international cooperation, state aviation policy, and financial and human resources services.
