Rules of transportation of minor passengers

30/11/2021

Very often, passengers are faced with a lack of information and awareness about how and under what conditions minor passengers are transported.

In this regard, Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC publishes summary information and general recommendations on the rules of transportation of unaccompanied and accompanied minor passengers, as well as tariffs for the provision of services for their transportation.

Minor passengers are transported both accompanied and unaccompanied by adult passengers.

Unaccompanied minor passengers are accepted by the airline for transportation only after a written application from their parents (adoptive parents, guardians) or guardians. Unaccompanied minor passengers are children on domestic and international flights aged from 6 to 16 years, who are traveling without parents and are not entrusted to any of the passengers. Unaccompanied minors are not accepted for transportation from 23 pm to 6 am in the morning.

For the carriage of each minor passenger aged from 2 to 12 years on an international flight and aged from 2 to 15 years on domestic flights, accompanied by one adult passenger, 50 percent of the corresponding or special fare of the accompanying adult passenger is paid.

There is no charge for the transportation of one minor passenger under the age of 2 years on domestic and international flights, who does not occupy a separate seat and is accompanied by an adult passenger.
