By decisions of the Governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, from September 21, 2020, the resumption of regular passenger flights between Kazakhstan and Russia is allowed.
At the initial stage, flights between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation will be performed by one flight per week from each side by Air Astana and Aeroflot airlines on the Nur-Sultan – Moscow route.
Air Astana plans to start operating flights between Kazakhstan and Russia from September 26, 2020, Aeroflot from September 27, 2020.
It should be noted that the flights will be performed in strict compliance with the sanitary and epidemiological standards of Kazakhstan and Russia and in accordance with the published schedule on the airlines’ websites.
In accordance with the requirements of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the following restrictive measures have been established for passengers arriving in the Republic of Kazakhstan from the Russian Federation on passenger flights:
1. Thermometry;
2. Questioning;
3. If there is a certificate with a negative PCR analysis for COVID-19, from the receipt of which no more than 5 days have passed at the time of crossing the state borders of the Republic of Kazakhstan – without restrictions, in the absence of a certificate – examination for COVID-19 by PCR at the place of stay within 48 hours from the day of arrival or home quarantine for 14 days.
