The Kazakh delegation headed by Darkhan Yespotanov, Deputy General Director for Aviation Security of the «Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan» JSC, and representatives of «Almaty International Airport» JSC are taking part in the Saudi Airport Exhibition event, which is taking place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Airport Exhibition is simultaneously hosting a conference on global aviation issues and a summit on the development of airports of the future. The conference is attended by 500 participants, including heads of the transport and aviation industries of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, as well as global aviation experts and service providers. The conference program includes key reports and panel discussions on the latest innovations, ideas and problems of the industry, including: The role of the aviation industry in realizing Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030; Rebuilding the aviation industry after Covid; Planning for the future of the airport in the face of innovation and upheaval; Passenger-oriented thinking to prepare the airports of tomorrow; Digital innovation and development in aviation; The role of the private sector in driving aviation growth; Development of reliable and sustainable air traffic control systems; Airport security in the era of digital technologies, pandemics and crises.

During the bilateral meetings, the Kazakh delegation held talks with service providers in the field of aviation security and cybersecurity, where they discussed issues that pose a threat to aviation security, as well as the need to take reliable cybersecurity measures to protect critical aviation infrastructure.

In addition, during negotiations with representatives of the Riyadh airport, an agreement was reached on cooperation in the following areas: ensuring flight safety and aviation safety in passenger service, baggage and cargo handling. The parties noted their interest in holding bilateral contacts within the framework of the Year of Facilitation announced by the International Civil Aviation Organization ICAO.

The acquired knowledge and experience of world aviation leaders will allow domestic experts to adequately and timely respond to existing threats and challenges facing the Kazakh aviation industry.
