The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed an agreement with China on cooperation in aviation search and rescue of civil aircraft

The Agreement calls for states to search for and rescue passengers and crew aboard distressed aircraft. President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a Law "On ratification of Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the People's Republic of China on cooperation in the field of search and rescue of civil aircraft.

The primary goals of this agreement are to strengthen cooperation in the search and rescue of stranded passengers and crews or aircraft.

The document also includes a specific algorithm for joint action as well as the boundaries of the search and rescue areas. Particularly mutual notification of aviation accidents, taking necessary steps to search for and rescue passengers, conducting joint exercises of search and rescue services and exchanging information and experience.
