A number of airlines have been brought to administrative responsibility for violating the rights of passengers

On behalf of the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kairbek Uskenbayev, the Civil Aviation Committee, together with the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC, is currently investigating due to numerous flight delays and passenger complaints.

During the investigation, it was established that on June 5 this year. flight KS-7105 on the route Almaty - Shymkent of the Fly Arystan air carrier, which is part of the Air Astana group of companies, was delayed for 15 hours and 10 minutes. While waiting for departure, the passengers of this flight were not properly provided with the services provided for by Part 1 of Article 86 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the Use of the Airspace of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Aviation Activities”, namely hotel accommodation services.

In this connection, on July 28 this year. in relation to the airline, a Protocol on an administrative offense was drawn up under part 2 of article 567 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Administrative Offenses”, according to which a fine of 1,000 MCI (3,000,063 tenge) was imposed on the airline. Previously, the Air Astana group of companies on July 7 and 21 of this year. was also brought to administrative responsibility in the form of a fine of 1,000 MCI (3,000,063 tenge) due to a violation of the rights of passengers during a flight delay.

In total, for violation of the rights of passengers during flight delays this year, the Air Astana group of companies was brought to administrative responsibility in the amount of 9,189,000 tenge.

The investigation in connection with flight delays and violation of the rights of passengers is currently ongoing, and in case of establishing the facts of offenses, the carriers will be held accountable under the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
