Today Peter Griffiths, General Director of «Aviation Administration Kazakhstan» JSC, met with Peter Foster, President of «Air Astana» company. They discussed issues of flight safety and aviation security. The transition to the International best practice of state regulation of the aviation industry and the establishment of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan will provide control and supervision in such a serious area as the flight safety. The results of this will meet the requirements of ICAO, which will help to achieve the 80 percent safety level goal. Kazakhstan is targeting a high level of UK compliance with ICAO safety standards, where this figure is over 93 percent.
