A new Deputy General Director was appointed in Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan

Saltanat Tompieva has been named Deputy General Director of Kazakhstan Aviation Administration JSC.

Prior to her appointment, she was the Deputy Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic Kazakhstan.

Saltanat Tompieva was born in Karaganda in 1977. She earned a degree in International Economic Relations from Karaganda State University named after E.A. Buketov, as well as an Aerospace MBA from TBS (Toulouse Business School).

Saltanat Topieva began her career in civil aviation in 1998 as a leading specialist in the Committee of Civil Aviation's aviation security sector. She worked as a chief specialist in the Department of Strategic Planning, the Department of Aviation Services Market Formation, the Department of Airport Regulation, administrative and legal work, and international relations from 1999 to 2008.

Between 2008 and 2012 she was the Chief Expert of the Airspace Operation Directorate, International Standards Implementation Directorate, and International Relations Directorate from 2008 to 2012.

She was the Head of the Office of International Relations and Aviation and the Chief State Aviation Inspector of Aviation from 2012 to 2019.

She served as Deputy Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee from 2019 to November 2022, supervising domestic and international air transportation, international cooperation, state aviation policy, financial and human resource services.
