As a result of the joint work between the experts of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC, the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a National Search and Rescue Plan (Part 1, Civil Aviation) has been developed and approved.

The plan wasdeveloped to present the existing system of flights search and rescue support in the Republic of Kazakhstan to the national and international aviation community based on the provisions of Annex 12 "Search and Rescue" to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the Aviation and Maritime Search and Rescue Manual (IAMSAR Manuals, DOC 9731, 2019 edition), the European Search and Rescue Plan (EUR Doc 039), national legislation in the field of search and rescue and emergency response situations.

The National Plan describes how the work of the search and rescue service will be provided, organized and supported. In addition, plans have also been developed for each search and rescue area to arrange search and rescue operations (works).
