Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Lastayev met with the British Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Mrs. Kathy Leach. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation in the field of civil aviation between the two countries, as well as increasing the number of regular flights.
The Committee's Chairman discussed the current state of civil aviation and plans for its future development. Ms. Kathy Leach also asked for help with the International Aviation Coalition for Climate Ambitions project. It should be noted that the United Kingdom is the project's initiator. The International Aviation Coalition for Climate Ambitions, by the way, is a group of countries working together to achieve the common goal of increasing international aviation's climate ambitions under the global leadership of ICAO.
In turn, the Kazakh side expressed its desire to reduce the negative impact on the environment and its willingness to consider the issue while taking into account the positions of all interested parties and national interests.
Simultaneously, the parties discussed issues related to the upcoming 41st Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which will take place from September 27 to October 7, 2022. There are also plans for flights between the countries and an increase in the number of regular flights to daily flights beginning with autumn-winter navigation.
