Today, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan held a meeting on improving the quality of passenger service, availability of services at Kazakhstan airports and the e-Freight project. Bringing the quality of services in line with international standards was outlined by RK Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development within the framework of the industry Board for Civil Aviation Development in Kazakhstan.

The event was attended by representatives of the Civil Aviation Committee of RK Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, Heads of Transport Services of Kazakhstan Airports, representatives of the airlines Air Astana, SCAT, Fly Arystan, Qazaq Air responsible for passenger service and TransInfoTech LLP.

The meeting discussed measures to improve passenger service during check-in and boarding procedures, the responsibility of carriers during flight delays and cancellations, as well as the availability of certain type of services in passenger terminals, such as a mother and child room, luggage storage, restrooms, Wi-Fi, and others.

The importance of such aspects as the communication standards of airport transport services and airline employees, the appearance of employees, and information support was noted.

Special attention was paid to the service of low-mobility passengers, including passengers with mental disorders. They discussed the availability of wheelchairs, as well as the availability of special vehicles and mechanisms for transportation, embarkation/disembarkation.

Together with Representatives of TransInfoTech LLP, a number of issues were discussed on implementation of first PPP E-Freight project in terms of digitalization of cargo transportation in Kazakhstan. Implementation of the E-Freight project makes it possible to improve the efficiency of documentation for air cargo transportation (moving of about 20 paper documents into electronic format), reduce the processing time of air cargo formalities (reducing the time of cargo processing on average from 1 day to 1 hour) and increase the attractiveness of air cargo transportation and transit across the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the meeting, a training session was held on working with software for airport employees involved in the cargo handling process.

Following the meeting, the representatives of RoK airports, airlines and Aviation Administration decided to work together on creating conditions required for air transport for all passengers.
