Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK),Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Air Astana are hosting the regional ICAO workshop on Upset Prevention and Recovery Training(UPRT) supported by ICAO EURNAT Office, Airbus corporation and IATA during this week from 24 to 28 June 2024.
The workshop was opened by a welcomespeech from the Chair of the Civil AviationCommittee Mrs. Saltanat Tompieva who wished to the participants productive work and thanked representatives of ICAO, IATA, Airbus and Air Astana for organizing the Regional event in Kazakhstan.
The regional seminar is attended by more than 60 participants from the aviation authorities of Georgia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of airlines and aviation training centers of from these countries (Air Astana, FlyArystan, Qazaq Air, SCAT, Berkut, Comlux-KZ, Prime Aviation, Fly Jet.kz, Alpha sky, Academy of Civil Aviation, Balapan, Georgian Aviation University, Easy Charter, Panorama airways, Qanot Sharq and Uzbekistan Airways).
The workshop is aimed at civil aviation authorities, airlines, pilots, and other personnel involved in UPRT training approval and/or delivery. The seminar consists of theoretical discussions raising awareness on risks associated with loss of control in-flight and possible mitigation strategies, followed by practical demonstration sessions led by Airbus instructors on the Air Astana Full Flight Simulator(FFS).
All participants will have the opportunity to practice in new state-of-the-art flight training facility is equipped with the latest generation flight simulator from L3 Harris Reality Seven which is the first in Central Asia certified by the EuropeanUnion Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). The FFS is the first one to enter service with Air Astana and the first installation in Kazakhstan.
