Kazakhstan is the first country in Central Asia joining the Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems JARUS

Today, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan held a meeting with representatives of the Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Civil Aviation Committee and the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of various organizations of unmanned aviation.

Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the MIID RK Talgat Lastayev stressed the important role of the development of unmanned aviation for Kazakhstan and cooperation with JARUS.

During the meeting, the signing ceremony of the letter on the accession of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan to the Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems JARUS took place.

On the part of JARUS, the document was signed by Liu Hao, Secretary General of the Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems, and Catalin Radu, Director General of Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC, on behalf of Kazakhstan.

"For the first time in Kazakhstan and on the territory of Central Asia, a letter of accession to the international organization for the regulation of unmanned aircraft systems is being signed, and Kazakhstan is also the first country to introduce rules for the operation of UAS," said Catalin Radu in his speech.

Within the framework of the meeting, a seminar is also being held for the industry on the regulation of unmanned aviation in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the main purpose of which is to discuss various topics related to the harmonization of regulation and the development of unmanned aviation systems.

During the seminar the current state of the unmanned aviation industry, existing problems and opportunities, as well as the current legislation of Kazakhstan in the field of unmanned aviation systems, and an overview of amendments to legislation in the field of unmanned aviation were discussed.

Kazakhstan is the 66th country joining JARUS.

JARUS is a non–profit international organization that brings together regulators, industry experts and other stakeholders to develop and harmonize standards and regulations for unmanned aircraft systems.
