28/03/2024

The Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan is actively working to strengthen international cooperation, including bilateral relations with the aviation authorities of the region.

In order to jointly prepare for flights to the United States, a group of AAK experts headed by Deputy Director General for Aviation Security Darkhan Yespotanov visited the Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia. During the meeting, the parties exchanged experiences in the field of state regulation of civil aviation and visited the Genghis Khan International Airport. The experts discussed the state of the aviation industry and analyzed certification and oversight procedures of flight safety and aviation security during aircraft operation, continuing airworthiness management, licensing of aviation personnel, and the aviation security system at Genghis Khan International Airport. The Mongolian side expressed interest in modernizing the system of financing the activities of the regulator, the Institute of AAK standardizers, and maintaining the qualifications of aviation inspectors.

In addition, on basis of the AAK experience, representatives of the CAA Mongolia were interested in the possibilities of implementing a digital system for the oversight and monitoring of flight safety, findings management, and risk assessment.

Following the visit, representatives of the CAA Mongolia and the AAK agreed to continue and expand cooperation in the field of flight safety and aviation security.
