Kazakh airlines have been advised to avoid flying over the airspace of Iran

Currently 2 Kazakhstani air carriers, Air Astana and SCAT, perform regular flights through Iranian airspace.

Air Astana Airlines operates flights from Nur Sultan to Dubai (5 times a week) and Almaty to Dubai (10 times a week) through Iranian airspace.

SCAT Airlines operates two scheduled flights from Almaty to Medina and Jeddah (once a week) and two non-scheduled flights from Almaty to Sharm El Sheikh, and Shymkent to Sharm El Sheikh through Iranian airspace.

Also, the UAE Airlines - “Fly Dubai” (Dubai-Nur-Sultan - 5 flights / week., Dubai-Almaty - 7 flights / week.), “Etihad” (Abu Dhabi-Nur-Sultan - 2 flights / week. ), Air Arabia (Sharjah-Almaty-5 flights / week) carry out regular flights (19 flights / week in total) through Iranian airspace to Kazakhstan. The Iranian airline Mahan Air operates regular flights on the route Tehran - Almaty.

Kazakh airlines have been advised to avoid flying over the airspace of Iran. Currently, Kazakhstani airlines in conjunction with the navigation services of the respective countries are working on the alternative routes to avoid over flying the airspace of Iran.
