JSC "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" declares that it did not restrict aircraft flights at the airport of the city of Uralsk. The decision was taken by the air carriers independently.
During the inspection on June 30, 2022, the administration’s aviation inspectors revealed that despite the low bearing capacity of the taxiway and apron artificial pavements, information about which was published by the aerodrome operator for all air carriers in the aeronautical information collection on an ongoing basis, the aircraft load and flight intensity increased to the Uralsk airfield on types of aircraft, the loads from which significantly exceed the permissible ones.
On the part of the Aviation Administration, an inspection order was sent to the aerodrome operator to ensure control of compliance with the permissible loads on artificial pavements in order to prevent their destruction and, as a result, damage to aircraft.
In addition, after meetings and discussions with representatives of airlines and the airfield operator, the AAC decided to develop measures that would allow continuing flights to the Uralsk airport, reducing the load on the artificial surface and maintaining an appropriate level of flight safety when operating aircraft at the airfield.
