Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan confirms that Sigma Aviation Services Ltd (Dublin, Ireland) is not involved in the investigation of violations of UN security Council sanctions committed by Kazakh airlines and is not a subject of actions recently taken by the European Union in connection with our request.

Earlier, Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan reported about violations of arms embargo on Libya by Sigma Airlines LLP aircraft with the Kazakh registration.

Based on the results of the inspections for compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, standards and recommendation practices of ICAO, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan suspended the certificate of three civil aircraft operators, including the certificate of the operator of Sigma Airlines LLP.

It should be noted that these are absolutely two different companies that have nothing to do with each other. In this regard, we ask the media and interested parties to take this information into account and avoid incorrect assumptions.
