Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Beibut Atamkulov got acquainted with the construction of a new passenger terminal

Beibut Atamkulov, the Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who arrived in Shymkent on a working visit, together with the mayor of the city Murat Aitenov, got acquainted with the construction of a new passenger terminal.

The project is being implemented as part of the Nurly Zhol State Infrastructure Development Program for 2020-2025 by a private investor (SKAT Airlines) at its own expense.

During the visit to the facility, President of SKAT Airlines Vladimir Denisov reported on the production capacity of the new terminal, plans to attract transit passengers, as well as modern materials used in the construction, including domestic production, used at facilities of this level.

It is worth noting that the new terminal will comply with international quality and safety standards, which will provide residents and guests of the metropolis with a high level of comfort.

area - 35,000 sq.m;

4-storey building;

throughput - 2000 pass/hour;

telescopic ladders - 4 units;

automated check-in and baggage handling system;

check-in desks - 24 units;

elevators - 9 units;

escalators - 13 units.
