A Government Commission arrived at the scene

Today, on December 27, 2019 at 07: 22 local time, Bek Air flight number Z2100, aircraft Fokker-100 headed from Almaty to Nur-Sultan lost altitude during takeoff and broke through a concrete fence. There was a collision with a two-storey building on the Almaty region territory, Talgar district, between the settlements of Guldala and Almerek. Rescue works began immediately, the fire did not occur. 40 ambulance teams assigned to provide medical assistance.

At the moment, the death toll is 12 people. A Government Commission headed by the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan A. Mamin was created. The Commission includes Deputy Prime Minister R. Sklyar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Atamkulov and representatives of other government agencies. According to the preliminary data, there were 95 passengers and 5 crew members on Board.

Aircraft certificate of airworthiness was issued in May 2019. Aircraft manufactured in April 1996. Registered in the Kazakhstan’s State register on August 26, 2016. Airline fleet consists of 10 Fokker-100 aircrafts, but 9 of them with a valid certificate of airworthiness.

The detailed circumstances of the accident and the reasons to be clarified. Currently, Air Operator certificate and Airworthiness certificate of Bek Air have been suspended by the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan.
