A meeting was held in Astana between the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK) and representatives of Chinese companies - China Air Transport Association (CATA), Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC), China Southern Air Holding Company Ltd., and Xinjiang Airport Group Co.
The leader of the Chinese delegation, Deputy Chairman of CATA, Mr. Pan Yixin, provided an extensive overview of the activities of the delegation's participating companies and proposed exploring close interaction and cooperation in the areas of technical issues, training, and participation in international forums and conferences.
The General Director of the AAK, Catalin Radu, noted the importance of the issues discussed and emphasized the need for further development of cooperation between the countries.
Background on CATA:
CATA is the largest non-profit trade association in China, with its main members being airlines, along with voluntary participants in the aviation market, including various enterprises, government agencies, and associations. As of April 2024, CATA has 10 members, with CATA member airlines representing more than 95% of the entire industry in China.
The association's activities include research and consulting, education and retraining, exchange of experience, conferences and exhibitions, sustainable development, standards, and evaluation of scientific and technical achievements in the field of civil aviation in China.
