Domestic low-cost airline launched iJan full-service passenger terminals at Astana airport iJan is a convenient and fast service that allows FlyArystan customers to check in for flights, weigh and check in their luggage right at the airport without queuing. For the convenience of the capital's passengers, N. Nazarbayev International Airport has 8 terminals. They are already ready to serve passengers departing from Astana on domestic routes, and in the future the service will become available on international flights.
FlyArystan Managing Director Adrian Hamilton-Manns recalled that on October 21, similar terminals were launched at Almaty Airport. More than 2.5 thousand people used iJan services in 10 days. He also said that the company plans to introduce a new service at all airports in the country.
“In Kazakhstan, as well as throughout the world, there is an increase in passenger traffic in air transport. In this regard, timely and prompt passenger service at airports is of particular importance. Fly Arystan now operates 207 weekly flights on 26 domestic air routes. The launch of iJan terminals will speed up the registration process,” said Talgat Lastaev, chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the launch ceremony of the terminals at Astana airport.
Daulet Khamzin, Chairman of the Board of N. Nazarbayev International Airport JSC, spoke in more detail about the new service.
«За помощью iJan будут обращаться все пассажиры, ведь помимо регистрации на рейс у стойки можно взвесить, получить бирку и сдать багаж на багажную ленту. И все это без очереди. Все это позволит пассажирам контролировать время пребывания в аэропорту, а также сам процесс регистрации. iJan – это новая веха в цифровом развитии казахстанской авиации. Мы гордимся тем, что наш аэропорт стал одним из первых, где внедряется эта инновационная практика», сказал он.
The low-cost airline offers its passengers to get to know and adapt to the new check-in method before the end of this year. From January 2023, check-in directly at the airport will be paid, including through the iJan terminal.
It is worth emphasizing that passengers still have the opportunity to check in for free in the FlyArystan mobile application or on the flyarystan.com website.
