Today, within the framework of the 24th International Exhibition TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2021, a session "Aviation industry during a pandemic and infrastructure projects of the industry" was held.  The speakers of the session were the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastayev, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Subcommittee of the Atameken NCE RK Daulet Khamzin, the leadership of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, the Civil Aviation Academy, the Kazaeronavigatsia RSE, domestic airports and representatives of Kazakhstani and foreign airlines.

The participants discussed the reconstruction of existing and construction of new ground infrastructure facilities of airports in Kazakhstan, fiscal and financial support for air carrier companies during the Covid-19 pandemic in Kazakhstan, as well as existing barriers to lifting restrictions on the opening of international flights.

Although the last year was challenging for domestic airlines, due to the suspension of flights on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2020, losses of civil aviation companies amounted to more than 350 billion tenge.  Today, all domestic flights have been restored, and the number of passengers carried is growing.  Now international flights are carried out to 20 countries on 58 routes, 237 flights a week.

In 2020, a modern greenfield airport was put into operation in Turkestan, the construction and reconstruction of terminals, runways, air terminals in the cities of Kazakhstan continued.

The National Project "Strong Regions - the Driver of the Country's Development" is being developed, including measures to modernise five airports (in Kostanai, Uralsk, Kyzylorda, Shymkent, Almaty).  It is also planned to restore the infrastructure of eight airfields of local airlines (Zhanibek, Kaztalovka, Saykhin, Arkalyk, Saryagash, Karkaralinsk, Ulytau, Zaisan).

In his speech, the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee, Talgat Lastayev, noted: “From 2 to 11 August of this year, an independent audit of the industry by ICAO auditors took place within the framework of the Coordinated Validation Mission.  According to preliminary data, Kazakhstan has increased the level of flight safety to 84%, which is 15% higher than the world average ”.

The experts noted an increase in compliance with ICAO standards in almost all indicators.  First of all, on the "organisational structure" and "legislation".  In terms of flight safety, we have reached the level of such prosperous countries as the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Czech Republic (87%), Latvia (86%), Denmark (85%), Iceland and Poland (84%)

From 13 to 15 October, Almaty hosts an international exhibition of transport and logistics services and technologies, "Transport and Logistics" - TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2021, which since 1996 has earned the status of the most significant transport exhibition in the entire Central Asian region.  This year more than 80 companies from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine and Estonia are taking part in the exhibition.

The business program of the Exhibition reflects the challenges facing the industry and topical issues.  Within the exhibition framework, the largest industry event is being held - the III International Conference “Transport and Logistics Market”.  For two days, participants discuss the state and development prospects of the domestic transport industry - the containerisation program, information and digital technologies in the transport industry, infrastructure projects in transport and logistics.
