Experts from the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan took part in a seminar on the use of drones in the oil and gas industry

The seminar, which was held in Atyrau, brought together representatives of Kazakh oil and gas companies of the Atyrau region. AARDVARK showed new technologies for conducting industrial inspections using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Reinforcing the priority of safety, AARDVARK Senior Pilot Niko Brand gave a safety briefing to all participants before the start of the plenary session. The audience was briefed on the main trends in industrial inspections in the global drone industry and on the regulation of the UAV industry in Kazakhstan and shown actual examples of drone use.

Special attention was paid to the issue of regulating the use of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Representatives of JSC "Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan" (AAK) were invited to discuss this topic. The delegation was headed by First Deputy Director General Linda Orlady. Vladimir Koshmanov, Head of the UAV group, made a report and responded to many questions on the regulation of the UAV industry in Kazakhstan.

At the end of the plenary part of the seminar, participants were presented with an exhibition of various types of UAVs. An additional safety briefing was given before conducting demonstrations flights of various drone models. The flights were conducted using the Flyability Elios 2 drone in an object simulating a hard-to-reach space. The DJI Matrice M300 flight platform, widely used in various inspections in the oil and gas industry, was also demonstrated.
