On January 29, 2024, Director General of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan Сatalin Radu met Mr. Zeynal Hajiev, Chief of Mission of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for Central Asia,, as well as with the staff of the IOM.

Excellent discussions on the curent activities of IOM, the national program of immigration and border control, the topics of combating human trafficking, immigration and border management system, and as well regional cooperation with EACAC (Eurasian Civil Aviation Conference) in terms of aviation security, simplification of formalities, education and joint training of personnel.

The meeting shared plans and visions for further cooperation and it was noted that IOM and AAK share common development goals.

IOM was invited to become part of the working group on facilitation and to cooperate with the coordination group on aviation security.

The parties agreed to actively participate in joint activities both in Kazakhstan and in the region.
