The tenth meeting of the Aviation Security Group - Europe and the North Atlantic (ENAVSECG/10) is currently underway at the ICAO European/North Atlantic Bureau in Paris (France).

During the meeting, Darkhan Katyshev, Director of the Aviation Security Department of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK), delivered a report in which he informed meeting participants about ongoing regional efforts to improve coordination and interaction in the field of aviation security among neighboring countries.

Nurlan Kozhakhmetov, the AAK's Chief Aviation Inspector for Cybersecurity, gave a joint presentation on cybersecurity activities in civil aviation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

Participants at the meeting raised issues of capacity building in the region and beyond, as well as proposals and ideas for improving Annex 17 implementation within the framework of the Global Aviation Security Plan (GASeP). We considered the recommendations of the ECHO working group on regional capacity building.

Representatives from the ICAO Regional Bureau presented initiatives and conclusions on the meeting's topic for further consideration of issues concerning aviation security and cybersecurity measures.

The participants' experience and knowledge will aid in the ongoing work to improve civil aviation security systems, and their exchange and application will serve to unite the aviation industry and specialists under the auspices of ICAO.

The outcomes and decisions reached by the participants from the ICAO member countries were summarized at the end of the meeting.
