Employees of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan participated in the International Conference on International and Interdepartmental Cooperation in Emergency Situations

The Department of Aviation Medicine of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan took part in the International Conference "Integration for Life – 2024", during which special tactical exercises were held on issues of international and interdepartmental cooperation in emergency situations. The organizers included the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Almaty, the Department of Public Health of Almaty, the Kazakh National Medical University named after S. D. Asfendiyarov, and the RPA "National Medical Association".

The reports of the conference participants and guests from abroad were presented, including those from the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan.

Representatives of Kazakhstan's emergency response services delivered substantial presentations on interaction in emergency situations, training doctors to work in emergencies, and air ambulance services.

On behalf of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, Almira Berdongarova, Director of the Aviation Medicine Department and Chief Aviation Inspector, presented a report on the necessity of cooperation in preventing and managing public health events in civil aviation. The report emphasized the importance of establishing a Public Health Corridor (PHC) between states connected by air transport to ensure mutual recognition and the adoption of measures to mitigate the impacts on public health. The participants were introduced to the ICAO Implementation Package (iPack) for the creation of the PHC.

During the ceremonial part of the conference, the highest awards of the National Medical Association of the Republic of Kazakhstan were given to rescuers, healthcare veterans, the best doctors and nurses, and leaders of medical associations. Almira Berdongarova, Director of the Department of Aviation Medicine and Chief Aviation Inspector, was awarded the title "Altyn Dariger" for her significant contribution to the development of national healthcare and selfless work for the benefit of the health of the people of Kazakhstan.
