The Kazakh delegation met with the aviation authorities of the Republic of Seychelles during the 41st session of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which will be held in Montreal (Canada) from September 27 to October 7, 2022.
The issues of direct flights between Kazakhstan and the Seychelles, as well as the prospects for further development, were discussed during a meeting between the Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastayev and the Minister of Transport of Seychelles Antony Derjacques.
Following the negotiations, for the first time in history, the parties signed a memorandum under which the designated carriers of both countries received the right to operate 7 scheduled flights per week between the countries on any type of aircraft from either side.
According to Antony Derjacques, the national airline Air Seychelles intends to launch a direct flight between our countries on the Victoria-Almaty route in January of next year, based on the signed document. The parties agreed that direct flights are critical for the further development of tourism and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
