Digital document service launched at Aktobe airport in pilot mode

In order to fulfill the instructions of the Head of State on the digitalization of the processes of providing identity cards within the framework of the Message to the people of Kazakhstan dated September 1, 2020, the Civil Aviation Committee, together with the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC, airlines and airports of the Republic of Kazakhstan , JSC “NIT”, and other interested bodies and organizations are working on the possibility of using digital documents in air transport. Currently, the service of digital documents has been launched in pilot mode at the airports of. Nur-Sultan and Almaty.


So, from July 28, 2021, the project is launched at the airport in Aktobe. Passengers departing on regular flights between the above three cities, to confirm their personal data, can present an electronic identity card through the mobile application “Egov Mobile”. Thus, passengers will be able to travel using digital identity cards.


Passengers using the digital document service, when checking in for a flight at the airport check-in counter, as well as going through pre-flight security, must show the QR code generated by the Egov Mobile application.


Due to the fact that the digital document service at airports is currently being launched in pilot mode, passengers planning to use this service are advised to bring their original ID with them.
