Canada and Kazakhstan increased aviation collaboration

18/10/2023

Director General of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK), Mr. Catalin Radu, and His Excellency the Canadian Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Mr. Alan Hamson, met today in Astana to discuss possible areas of cooperation in the field of aviation between the two countries. Special interest was given to broadening the relationship on air safety and security, as well as in services and opportunities for suppliers. The latter has given Canada’s long-standing reputation as a world aviation hub and given Kazakhstan's growing qualities as a center for industry in the Central Asian region. Geographic similarities and the fact that the aviation sector is growing as a key economic engine in both nations can open the door to further collaboration and partnerships between organizations such as AAK and Transport Canada and URAPI and Transportation Safety Board of Canada. Also the cooperation between the aviation industry of Canada and Kazakhstan in the area of training facilities, aviation parts production, extreme weather management products and transfer of know how for airport winter operation.
