Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan and the Civil Aviation Committee will help employees released by Bek Air JSC to seek alternative employment

18/04/2020

Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan has revoked the certificates of aircraft operator and certificate of airworthiness of Bek Air JSC. In connection with this, several questions arose concerning the future activities of the airline and the return of money to passengers for previously purchased tickets.

According to the labour legislation, Bek Air JSC has to notify its employees in writing about changes in working conditions, return documents confirming the employees’ employment history and provide compensations to its employees.

In addition, in accordance with the Rules of passengers, baggage and cargo air service approved by the Order No 540 issued on April 30, 2015 by the Minister of Investment and Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the airline is obliged to return money to passengers for previously purchased tickets.

It should be noted that Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan and the Civil Aviation Committee will help employees released by Bek Air JSC to seek alternative employment. In coming days, a site will be set up over the weekend where staff released by Bek Air can register their interest in finding an alternative employment in the industry.
