The Aviation Administration agreed with sanitary epidemiologists to cooperate on public health issues at civil aviation facilities

The Memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Director General of Aviation Administration of Kazakhsta, Catalin Radu, and the head of the Department of Tramsport Sanitary and Epidemiological Control, Zhanar Urazalina.


The Memorandum is aimed to cooperate primarily on issues of ensuring sanitary and epidemiological well-being and public health protection at civil aviation facilities.


Under the terms each party expressed readiness to cooperate to reduce the risk factors of infectious and non-communicable diseases at civil aviation facilities.


During the meeting, Catalin Radu shared his work experience with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) on the development of the Public Health corridor to overcome the transport crisis during pandemic and expressed his readiness to assist in ensuring public health and flight safety.


In turn, Zhanar Urazalina thanked for the support of the initiative to sign memorandum and confirmed her intention to cooperate.


The parties also noted the need to further develop cooperation on ensuring security in preventing the spread of infectious diseases, including COVID-19.
