The Civil Aviation Committee continues to work on further increasing the number of flights and expanding the geography of flights to/from Kazakhstan.
As previously reported, within the framework of the 41st session of the Assembly of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) held in Montreal (Canada) in the period from 27 September to 7 October 2022, the Kazakh delegation held talks with aviation authorities of the Seychelles, which resulted in the first ever signed a Memorandum of Understanding that creates a legal framework for regular flights between the countries.
As a result of this work, Air Seychelles plans to start operating regular passenger flights between Almaty and Mahe (with a technical stop in Abu Dhabi) with a frequency of 2 flights a week on Thursdays and Sundays on A320Neo type aircraft starting from December 26 this year.
Opening of the flights will contribute to further development of tourism cooperation between Kazakhstan and Seychelles.
