Air China resumes flights to Kazakhstan

The Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan's MIID RK, together with the aviation authorities of the People's Republic of China, has worked out the issue of Air China resuming regular passenger flights between Kazakhstan and China.

The flights will be operated on Airbus-A320 aircraft.

In turn, Air Astana expects to expand the frequency of flights operated on the Astana-Beijing routes from 1 to 2 times per week, Almaty-Beijing routes from 6 to 7 times per week, and Almaty-Chengdu routes from 1 to 2 times per week beginning in June of this year. Thus, the number of flights between the nations will be expanded from 13 to 19 per week, with the Chinese airline "China Southern Airlines" flying twice a week between Astana and Urumqi and three times a week between Almaty and Urumqi.

The opening of new routes and an increase in the number of flights between Kazakhstan and China will contribute to the further development of tourism, cultural, investment and business cooperation between the countries.
