From 11 to 15 December 2023, a five day Civil Aviation Master Planning (CAMP) course was held at the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC provided by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with the contribution of the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund of China (SSCAF).

At the opening ceremony Mr. Darkhan Yespotanov, AAK Deputy General Director welcomed Arkadii Merkulov and Sarantis Poulimenakos, ICAO Trainers and appreciated SSCAF for providing such a great opportunity to Kazakhstan Civil Aviation Authority. It was also highlighted that this Training aims to enable states to recover the global aviation from the COVID-19 pandemic and other future challenges.

The Training project was commenced in 2021 and serves as comprehensive roadmap for the sustainable growth and management of aviation sectors, flight safety, aviation security, efficiency, economic development and environment protection.

CAMP Training provides senior and middle managers of Civil Aviation Committee and Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan the knowledge to effectively align national development plans and the relevant ICAO provisions.
